Prayer Tour for America Reaches All 50 States

To reach every state capital was difficult and daring. Special graces would be needed. That is why it was appropriate to begin the prayer crusade in St. Augustine, Florida, at the foot of the altar where the first Mass on U.S. soil was celebrated by Fr. Francisco Lopez in 1565.

Young volunteers with the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) launched the prayer tour during the summer of 2020. The effort was entrusted to the Mother of God and given a name: Mary, Mother of Mercy, Restore America.

Wherever TFP volunteers went, they gave out Saint Michael medals to police officers. Those who serve our nation with honor need our prayers at this time of civil unrest and chaos.

The video featured above includes highlights of the journey.

Despite many challenges, teams of young volunteers kept pushing forward, conquering more territory for Jesus and Mary. Driving through blistering heat, sleeping in uncomfortable conditions, eating on the go, or spending long hours in cramped vans mattered little to them. The occasional bully or satanist yelling “hail Satan” did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm for God.

The caravan had the unique privilege to escort the miraculous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the same one that wept miraculously in New Orleans in 1972. The statue’s custodian, Patrick Sabat, spoke about the significance of the statue at many state capitals.

From the sunny shores of Puerto Rico and its historic landmarks to the Virgin Islands, the crusade continued to Alaska. From the frigid glaciers of Juneau to the warm waters of the Caribbean, the same prayer rose up to Heaven: Mary Most Holy, Restore America!

From coast to coast, border to border, desert to forest, mountain to prairie, and sea to shining sea, a great spiritual battle unfolded for the soul of America.

Finally, after traveling 65,246 miles, TFP volunteers achieved their daring goal successfully: prayer rallies in every capital for America’s return to order. Hawaii was the last state visited.

The rosary is the spiritual weapon of our times.

Following the example of the saints whose trust in God never wavered, let’s place our confidence in Our Lady’s victory over evil foretold in Gen. 3:15: “I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed. She shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.”

Saint Louis de Montfort tells us:

“God has only made and formed one enmity; but it is an irreconcilable one, which shall endure and grow even to the end. It is between Mary, His worthy Mother, and the devil — between the children and servants of the Blessed Virgin, and the children and tools of Lucifer. . . . The humble Mary will always have the victory over that proud spirit, and so great a victory that she will go so far as to crush his head, where his pride dwells.”

Saint Maximilian Kolbe adds:

“There is much evil in the world, but let us not forget the Immaculate is more powerful yet, and that she will crush the infernal serpent’s head.”

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
