The Mary, Mother of Mercy, Restore America campaign of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) visited the U.S. Virgin Islands. After holding a peaceful rosary rally in front of the capitol steps in San Juan, Puerto Rico, TFP volunteers hopped on a quick plane flight to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.

This historic campaign marked the first time the TFP’s grand ruby red standard has been raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The rosary campaign started close to sunset, and the flowing standard couldn’t have had a more beautiful backdrop.

Drivers passed by, slowing to see the spectacle with many honking in support of our message. Our message was one of calm, courage and confidence. In the face of the chaos afflicting the nation, prayer is needed right now more than ever.

Close to the rally’s end, one woman driving by rolled down her window and asked, “Are you all praying the Rosary? When did it start?”

When told it was just finishing up, she sighed with disappointment but expressed happiness that it took place in her city.

Another gentleman casually walking by, looked over from across the street, saw the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, and made the Sign of the Cross.

Being in the Caribbean, the weather can sometimes be unpredictable. One moment, the sky is clear, and suddenly clouds appear. A rainstorm passed over, soaking all the volunteers.

“Blessings!”

As the rain poured down, a man walked out of the Legislature Building towards the praying volunteers.

“Who are you and what are you doing?” he asked.

A TFP member responded, “We are the American TFP, and we are going to every state capital, including territories, to pray for the restoration of order in America. That’s why we’re here right now in the Virgin Islands.”

After a slight pause, he responded with a big smile, “Blessings!”

The rain continues to pour.

“Our signs and banners got completely soaked! All the ink ran off,” exclaimed Jon Paul Fabrizio, a student of the St. Louis de Montfort Academy who took part in the TFP’s Restore America campaign.

“But that won’t stop us. We’re on a mission to pray the Rosary at every capital, and we will see it through,” he affirmed.

God Has Blessed Us With an Abundance of Beauty

The captivating natural beauty of the Virgin Islands is paradisical. With the beautiful bright blue sea matching an equally vibrant azure sky, it is absolutely breathtaking.

After discovering the islands, Christopher Columbus named the islands after Saint Ursula and her 11,000 virgin handmaids who were martyred by the pagan Huns.

May Saint Ursula and her 11,000 virgin handmaids intercede before the throne of God in Heaven, and ask for an abundance of graces to be poured upon the Virgin Islands and the rest of America.

Above all, may Our Lady grant the graces of calm, courage, confidence, and conversion.
