TFP Says “Down With Socialism” in New Orleans French Quarter
On July 20, the Saint Michael Caravan reached the French Quarter in New Orleans.

On July 17, the Saint Michael the Archangel Caravan against Socialism was started. Now the young volunteers of Tradition, Family, Property (TFP)—Louisiana are touring around Louisiana, enlightening the public and begging God to protect America from the errors of socialism.

“Down with Socialism”

The young men have been holding campaigns in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Opelousas and many other locations.

They hold honk signs, some of which state: “Honk Against Socialism,” “Socialism is a Failed System,” and “Keep America Brave and Free From Socialism.” These honk signs have been very effective as the caravaners have experienced lots of support through many honks.

The caravaners are also seen holding a banner that states: “May God Protect America From Socialism!”

Along with the playing of the bagpipes, the caravaners also chant slogans urging the public to reject the evils of socialism.

Some slogans include: “God Bless America! Down with socialism,” “If you love America, reject socialism,” “Socialism: Spreading your wealth to make everybody poor.”

Support and Backlash

During the campaigns, the TFP volunteers faced both support and backlash.

One woman who was with her granddaughter stated: “I was just explaining socialism to my granddaughter, and I came across the campaign. Thank you for being here.”

One man talking with a TFP volunteer expressed his concerns, “If we are not careful, we will end up like Cuba.”

The campaigns also saw one military sergeant and three police officers who honked their horns in favor of the campaign.

On the other hand, many people screamed and cursed as they drove by. One even stated, “I’ll rather die in socialism than in capitalism.”

Someone yelled, “Hail Karl Marx.” Others did satanic signs and other vulgar gestures.

New Orleans

On July 20, the Saint Michael Caravan reached the French Quarter in New Orleans. The TFP campaign was set up in front of the St. Louis Cathedral.

Many TFP volunteers walked around the French Quarter handing out flyers that read: “10 Reasons to Reject Socialism.”

Many pedestrians were happy to see the campaign and learn more about the errors of socialism. One pedestrian, noticing the campaign, stated, “I love what you’re doing! Socialism is a means of establishing communism.” Another said, “Socialism destroys lives.”

“Thank you for being here! I’m glad to see young men fighting against socialism,” stated another.

A young couple reading the flyer stated: “We could of wrote this, we know what socialism is.”

Some pedestrians, upon learning about socialism, were thankful to the TFP members for enlightening them. A few never heard of socialism and had no idea what it was. Yet, after coming across the campaign, they were ready to fight it.

However, not all the pedestrians were friendly. The caravaners also faced insults and curses. The volunteers were accused of being “Nazis” and “Fascists.”

Some cursed and yelled at the campaign, and one even ripped up a flyer.

The Battle May Be Over, but the War Goes On

The Saint Michael Caravan is currently in Louisiana battling socialism. This caravan will go on for at least another week and a half, traveling to Texas to do campaigns in major cities like Houston, Austin, San Antonio and others.
