On September 24, 2013, Feast of Our Lady of Ransom, volunteers with America Needs Fatima achieved the goal of organizing 10,000 Public Square Rosary Rallies. This impressive milestone was reached more than two weeks prior to the official date for this year’s rallies, October 12.
Though an inherently ambitious goal, the hand of Divine Providence has been active in the promotion of these Rosary Rallies, ever since the first ones organized in 2007. On October 13 of that year, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, more than 2,000 rallies were held in public squares across America. Through no small grace of the Mother of God, these rallies have seen an increase every year, both in the amount of rallies and in the number of participants.
With so many Rosary Rallies now scheduled for October 12, 2013, one thing remains abundantly clear: impressive numbers of Catholics are willing to step out in public and proclaim their faith, this act of public prayer a clarion call to defend the Church’s teachings.
As the historic day approaches, no effort is being spared to further increase the numbers and encourage as many Catholics as possible to profess their faith in public and pray for the conversion of our nation. May Our Lady Queen of Angels send the multitudes of her heavenly armies to embolden all of the participants, and give them unshakeable confidence in her promise at Fatima: “Finally, my Immaculate Heart will triumph!”
