After an all-night vigil, surrounded by family reciting the Holy Rosary and consoled with the Apostolic Blessing and the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, Marlin Duncan delivered his soul to God on the morning of July 23, 2026. Like a truly Catholic warrior, he offered up his brave fight with cancer and all his sufferings and prayers for the conversion of America and the hastening of the fulfillment of Our Lady of Fatima’s promise of the triumph of her Immaculate Heart.
In his sixty-six years, he accomplished much and left a tremendous legacy. He and his wife, Patricia, of forty-five years, raised seven children and seventeen grandchildren to be fervent Catholics, steeped in prayer and action for the restoration of Christian civilization. Introduced to the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) at an early age by his parents, he espoused the ideals of chivalry and defended the three pillars of Christian society found in the TFP name. He considered knowing the great Catholic activist, intellectual and TFP founder, Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, one of the most memorable moments of his life. Having personally received Mr. Duncan as a married TFP member, Prof. Plinio would play an essential role in shaping his family’s vision and life.
His accomplishments include the great sacrifices he and his wife made to spread the Fatima message. Among them was a two-year (2002-2003) tour across the Northeast as one of Our Lady’s Custodians for America Needs Fatima. Often accompanied by his sons and sometimes his daughters, Mr. Duncan traveled tens of thousands of miles with one of Our Lady’s pilgrim statues and delivered hundreds of presentations on the Fatima message at homes and churches, reaching thousands of souls. His love of Our Lady, together with his exceptional communication abilities, made him a riveting speaker, inspiring many wandering souls to return to the practice of the Faith.
Moved by his concern to provide care for his father-in-law, Roger Glendening, Mr. Duncan opened his first Comfort Keeper franchise in 2003 to care for the elderly and homebound. With his keen business sense and tenacity, he expanded to thirteen franchises and became a leader in the industry, receiving a lifetime achievement award for senior care leadership in 2023.
Having a deep love for Jesus and Mary and a desire for the Faith to be honored in society, he generously supported many Catholic charitable causes. One of his favorite campaigns was to reclaim June for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In June 2026, he sponsored hundreds of Rosary rallies and funded fifteen billboards proclaiming June as the month of the Sacred Heart and Christ as King. Together with his wife, he generously helped fund the construction of an addition to the St. Louis de Montfort Academy in Herndon, Pennsylvania, which was inaugurated and blessed by Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke on April 25, 2026. Mr. Marlin Duncan left a legacy that will have an impact for many years to come and help usher in the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which Saint Louis de Montfort called “the Reign of Mary.” That was his dying wish.
