I have an urgent petition for you to sign.
A Disney film threatens children’s innocence this Thanksgiving. It is called Hexed, and it features a teenage girl who “discovers secret magical abilities.” These abilities send her into “a vast witch realm called Hexe.”
Merriam-Webster defines the word hex as “to practice witchcraft” or “to put an evil spell on.”
The Catechism states that magic and sorcery are “gravely contrary to the virtue of religion.” (CCC, 2116–2117)
Children should never be encouraged to admire witches and black magic. Unfortunately, Disney is doing it anyway.
But as always, the TFP is taking action against this upcoming movie, which is supposed to be released in November.
And you can help us in two ways:
- Sign your name to our petition urging Disney to cancel the film before it gets released.
- Once you add your name, please send the petition to as many people as possible. The more signatures we receive, the more pressure Disney will feel.
Please, join us in telling Disney that promoting witchcraft is unacceptable, especially for young children.
