URGENT! Fr. Martin to celebrate LGBTQ mass in NYC!

URGENT! Fr. Martin to celebrate LGBTQ mass in NYC!

Outreach, a group founded by Fr. James Martin, organized a “Catholic LGBTQ pilgrimage” in NYC!

This “pilgrimage” is scheduled to visit both Catholic churches and LGBT monuments like the AIDS Memorial Park and the Stonewall National Monument.

And to top it all off, the three-day program is set to conclude with a mass celebrated by Fr. Martin himself at the Jesuit-run Church of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

In response, the TFP is organizing a petition to Archbishop Ronald Hicks, asking him to intervene and prevent Fr. Martin from saying Mass at this Manhattan parish.

Please express your concern to the Archbishop.

This is straight from Outreach’s website: “Outreach will lead a group of pilgrims to New York City, September 25-27, 2026, journeying through the LGBTQ Catholic experience.”

Over two millennia, Church teaching has consistently affirmed that the love of Christ is in no way compatible with the sin of homosexuality. Rather, this sin gravely offends Our Lord.

That is why I need you to sign this petition, asking Archbishop Ronald Hicks to prevent Fr. Martin from holding this “LGBT pilgrimage” mass.

Please pray for the success of this petition and that the LGBT lobby stops weaponizing the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for their agenda.

To: Most. Rev. Ronald Hicks, Archbishop of New York

Your Excellency:

I am writing to you as a faithful Catholic to express deep concern regarding the scheduled final Mass on September 27 for the Outreach LGBTQ Pilgrimage at the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The sacred liturgy of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of worship in the Church, directed toward the glory of God and the sanctification of the faithful. Hosting an event explicitly tied to an advocacy movement whose platform contradicts Catholic moral teaching—specifically regarding human sexuality, marriage, and the natural law—risks causing serious public scandal and confusion among the faithful.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly affirms that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered and contrary to natural law (CCC 2357). The celebration of the Holy Mass must never be perceived as an endorsement or celebration of grave sins that stand in direct opposition to Sacred Scripture and perennial Church teaching.

Under the provisions of the Code of Canon Law (such as Canon 212 §3), we faithful possess both the right and the duty to manifest our deep-rooted concerns on this matter.

In light of your solemn duty to protect the integrity of the sacred mysteries and prevent scandal within the Archdiocese of New York, I respectfully and urgently request that you intervene and cancel this scheduled Mass.

Respectfully yours in Christ,
