NBC's Will and Grace, suggests that the Apostles were “gay best friends.”
It seems like Hollywood must always find a way to offend or blaspheme religion. In a recent January 18th episode of an NBC show, Will and Grace, a show which prominently features a homosexual as a main character, produced an absolutely offensive and impure reference launched against the apostles calling them, “gay best friends.”
Not only ridiculing the apostles, the show insulted another saint, St. Mary Magdalene.
The scene opens up with Jack, one of the characters, stating, “I had a terrific morning at church. I learned a lot. Did you know that back in the day, gay best friends were called apostles? And, Grace, you'll be interested to know Mary Magdalene is a derivative of the Latin word "Hag-dalene."[1]
Tell NBC to Stop Ridiculing Religion!
It is terrible and uncalled for to insult the apostles by saying that they were a group of homosexuals who got together. Rather than tell the truth, NBC spreads the lie that they were united together in vice and sin. The apostles were together to follow Christ, all of his commandments and preach the Gospel.
This is blasphemous and must be stopped for the love of Our Lord and His Apostles.
Feel free to contact NBC and voice your own concern.
Be polite, but firm.
