Recently, Stephen Colbert from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, did a feature called “Midnight Confessions XX” in which he tells the audience his “sins” or rather what he feels bad about.

He starts out, “Forgive me audience….”
He then lists banal and vulgar jokes, which denigrate the holy sacrament of Confession!
For example, Colbert says, “Sometimes audience, I go to the bathroom just to check my phone without seeming rude.”
He then proceeds to take out his phone and turns around to flush a toilet; insinuating that he is sitting on a toilet in the confessional.

How does one reconcile debasing the holy sacrament of Confession with his faith while teaching Sunday school?

Amid cracking a joke about another celebrity, the mentioned notable appears in the confessional with Stephen.
The two men look at each other and appear to begin to engage in same-sex kissing when the confessional shade is closed!
Two men kissing in a confessional? This is blasphemous!
How dare they insult the sacrament of confession by condoning sin within the confessional.
Defend the Sacredness of Confession!
