Starting in 2016, Carnival Corporation’s new travel line Fathom, will be offering cruises to Cuba as if everything is normal on the Communist prison island. Fathom has announced they will begin trips between the U.S. and Cuba in light of the recent thawing of relations with the Communist despots, indirectly supporting the Castros' with U.S dollars.
Money spent in Cuba will prop up what the State Department listed as state sponsored terrorism until recently.
Fathom’s president Tara Russell stated, “Cuba represents an important step for us to expand our ability to offer meaningful and enriching experiences to purpose-driven travelers.”
What do they mean by a meaningful and enriching experience?
Is it meaningful or enriching to vacation in land terrorized by Castro’s firing squads, with limited religious freedoms, no freedom of speech and prisons filled with political prisoners? Is it to have a good time in Cuba, while an impoverished people languish under some of the worst human rights violators in history; the Castro brothers?

Cuban cigar rollers make as little as 12 cents per hour while Cuban cigars can sell for well over $750 per box. Where does the difference go? It supports the communist regime run by the Castro brothers.
Within the last year high-ranking religious and civil authorities have done much to re-establish ties between the U.S. and Cuba. Unfortunately, only one side is making concessions—the U.S.
After hearing that U.S.-Cuban relations were to be re-established, Communist dictator Raul Castro publicly stated, “[we] will continue to be faithful to our ideals of independence and social justice… a prosperous and sustainable Socialism.”
If Cuba’s Socialism is so prosperous, why have they been receiving massive handouts from the likes of Russia and Venezuela for decades and they still live in abject poverty?
Countless Cubans have been imprisoned, tortured, subjected to biological experiments and killed under the Castro regime for simply having opposed atheistic Communism. Given the Cuban government’s ruthless and bloody history, how can we do business with liars, murders and thieves?
For Carnival to begin cruises to Cuba, while the prison island is still under the tyrannical rule of Communism, shows blindness and indifference towards the cancer of Communism on the Caribbean island.
This is like inviting your friends to stay at the shabby hotel owned by the man who murdered your family!
