Sadly, another small Christian family business is threatened by the totalitarian LGBT dictatorship in America.
David and Edie Delorme have achieved the American dream. For more than a year now, the Delormes have owned and operated their very own business, Kern’s Bake Shop, a family owned bakery in Longview, Texas.
Founded and operated by husband and wife, the bakery is the Delorme’s life-long dream come true after much toil and tears and is famous for its petit-fours, sugar cookies and the oh-so-controversial wedding cake.
Here’s what happened to the bakery.
Two homosexuals walked in on February 17 to order a same-sex “wedding” cake. Edie politely told them that they don’t provide wedding cakes for homosexual “weddings.” She told them that they don’t provide their services for anything that conflict with their spiritual convictions.
Edie even went so far as to offer alternative bakeries that might provide what they wanted… but that wasn’t good enough. They walked out.
In a few days, vicious and unrelenting attacks began.
The Delormes received threats of violence. They were forced to close down their FaceBook page. And anti-Christian vitriol and filth flooded their once-supportive Yelp reviews.
You see, the freedom of believe in God’s holy design for marriage is melting away. Equality is the new religion — a false religion based on persecution, not true freedom. In fact, the homosexual movement wants truth and error to be treated the same in the name of unjust equality. But as Christians, we know that we cannot surrender to this ungodly agenda.
Even though Texas law allows the Delorme family to run their business according to their faith, they have had to secure legal counsel in face of the violent threats.
Don’t let them face this all alone. Tell David and Edie Delorme that they have your prayers and support.
May God bless you and your family for giving strength and courage to those who have the bravery to stand against the onslaught of the homosexual agenda.
