Twelve young men will gather from around the world—Belgium, South Africa, Ecuador, and the United States. We will be going on a pilgrimage.
Why are they coming from four different countries? Why unite across continents?
A brief backstory.
My name is Vincent Maleski. I am a high school senior, and earlier this year a classmate and I wanted to do something meaningful to mark the end of our final year. At first, the idea was simple: a trip to Spain. We had heard about its rich Catholic heritage—its castles, its profound Holy Week processions—and we thought it would be an unforgettable experience. The plan was modest: my classmate and I, accompanied by a teacher and a former graduate from our school.

Preparations were underway—until our plans changed.
We were invited to join young men from the Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) on a pilgrimage to the relics of the Apostle Saint James at Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. We would walk the historic Camino de Santiago along the ancient routes from Portugal into Spain, covering easily over 100 miles on foot before reaching the great cathedral that houses the Apostle’s relics.
It would be long. It would be difficult. It would be far more demanding than anything we had attempted before.
At that moment, we faced a choice.
We could treat the journey as a personal challenge—an achievement to boast about after completing the many miles. Or we could undertake it in a spirit of sacrifice and reparation for the countless sins committed in our time.
That is when everything changed.
Help Us Make Reparation for Abortion!
We decided this would not be a sightseeing trip. It would be a pilgrimage of reparation—specifically for the grave sin of abortion, which continues to wound souls and devastate families across the world.
Now there are twelve of us, united by the same ideal. Twelve young men, representing four nations, committed to offering prayer, penance, and physical hardship in reparation for the sin of abortion. In a spirit reminiscent of the twelve Apostles, we will walk together to implore Saint James to intercede for our times.
We have worked hard to make this possible. We organized fundraisers, contacted friends and family, and wrote letters to anyone who might help. We have purchased our plane tickets and some of the necessary gear.
But we are still short of about one-third of the funds required.
Our problem is not a lack of zeal or determination. It is simply a lack of financial resources.
Will You Help Me and My Friends Make It to Spain to Defend the Unborn?
