On July 16, 2016, the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 5,167 Public Rosary Rallies were held across America in support of the nation’s police officers. This was the initial response of America Needs Fatima members and supporters to the senseless attacks that resulted in death and injury to several of our law enforcers and protectors during the summer of 2016.
Seeing that our police officers are in danger now more than ever, America Needs Fatima launched a new initiative to continue the national campaign to support our police officers. The goal is to send every police officer in America a Saint Michael Badge Medal.
“Our police officers desperately need supernatural protection,” says Robert Ritchie, director of America Needs Fatima. And “they need the special protection of Saint Michael, the Archangel who cast Satan’s followers from heaven.”
The attacks on police officers are symbolic acts of evil in the battle between order and chaos. Americans who care about the peace and order in their communities and cities are very much concerned about the safety of those who selflessly protect their families. Many of the nation’s police officers are baptized Catholics. In New York City alone, there are 35,000 Catholic police officers—75% of the entire police force. And non-Catholic police officers would certainly not refuse the protection of Saint Michael the Archangel!
The first batch of 145,000 badge medals has been made and is now being distributed nationwide. However, there are over 900,000 police officers that need them, and so a second batch of thousands more needs to be made and distributed so that not one officer will be deprived of the comfort of Saint Michael’s protection.
