TFP Speaks Out With Illinois
More than 400 people
came together for the 10th Annual Speak Out Illinois conference
in Chicago on January 13th to strategize on how to turn
back the abortion culture. Forty-five anti-abortion and
pro-family organizations took part, among them the American
Society for the Defense of Tradtion, Family and Property
(TFP).
The conference theme
was "Celebrating a Decade of Unity for Life."
Main speakers included Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop
of Chicago, Joseph M. Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League,
and Dr. J.C. Willke, President of Life Issues Institute
who was awarded the Life Leadership Award.
Conference workshops
included sessions on legislation, abstinence education,
pro-life activism, answering tough questions, the aftermath
of abortion, and pro-Life activities for the non-Activist.
Then President-Elect
George Bush sent a warm letter of support to Speak Out Illinois,
which when read out loud was greeted with applause. Conference
attendees were effusive in their support for the defense
of life at all stages, from conception to natural death.
