TFP Welcomes Convert

American TFP President Raymond Drake has sent a letter of congratulations to Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kans.) on the occasion of his conversion to the Catholic Faith.

The June 28 missive written in the name of the American TFP takes note of this significant decision and welcomes the senator among the Catholic faithful. Senator Brownback was formerly a Methodist.

“Your conversion amidst the current scandals within the Church sends Catholics everywhere a powerful message of faith and hope: the Church, holy and immortal, shall prevail!” Mr. Drake states. “Our Lord Himself is Her surety and will see Her safely through the present storm.”

The letter also takes note of the senator’s continued principled stands as one of the most stalwart of conservative senators. His leadership on the cloning issue has been especially inspiring.
