If there were a danger that more than a million innocent Americans would be executed in the next year, it is certain that all Americans would be so indignant that the elected officials who were in any way partisans of this unjust execution would be clamorously defeated in the next elections.

 

It is therefore incomprehensible that the Supreme Court decision permitting abortion still stands in the United States. Postponements, delays and lack of energy brought it about that yet another million Americans died last year through no fault of their own. They died, but not only that. Many of them did not even have the grace of receiving the Sacrament of Baptism.

 

This cannot go on. Can we deny that so many die? Can we deny that they are innocent? Was there ever a more obviously just cause? Was there ever a more obviously clamorous injustice than abortion?

 

Let us have no illusions; it is not the pressure of the abortionists that maintains legalized abortion in the United States; it is the softness of many of the anti-abortionists. When the day comes for them to render accounts to God for their actions, these soft ones will see that they were cruel. They were the soft, cruel exterminators, the ones principally responsible for the continuation of legalized abortion in the United States.

 

This campaign is not so much against the abortionists, as against the soft anti-abortionists, the soft exterminators, the horror of history and a shock to men of good sense.
