Who are its teachers?
Institute instructors are veteran members
of the American TFP or other TFPs. They are highly experienced
and knowledgeable individuals who dedicate their lives to
advance the cause of Christian civilization.
Mr. Gustavo Solimeo, director
& instructor
Mr. Solimeo received his MA from the University of Sao Paulo,
Brazil. He serves as both director and instructor of the Sedes
Sapientiae Institute. He teaches religion, liturgy, and Catholic
social doctrine, providing an extensive layout of the principles
that govern an ideal Catholic society. He is fluent in Portuguese,
Spanish, French and Italian.
Mr. Mario Navarro da Costa, instructor
TFP Washington Bureau director, Mr. Costa teaches current
events and international affairs from the perspective of the
book Revolution and Counter-Revolution. He is a lawyer and
keen analyst of current world events.
Mr. Jeremias Wells, author &
instructor
With over 40 years of teaching experience and a remarkable
ability to communicate, Mr. Wells specializes in history and
apologetics. He demonstrates how God is the center of history,
that history is not merely a collection of random facts and
dates. He is the author of a comprehensive history course,
The History of Western Civilization.
Mr. Luis Solimeo, author &
instructor
Mr. Solimeo joined the Brazilian Society for the Defense of
Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) in 1959. As a researcher
and writer, he specializes in philosophical and theological
topics and has several published works. He teaches philosophy,
giving his students the ability to identify errors of modern
philosophy and refute them. He is fluent in Portuguese, French,
Spanish and Italian.
Mr. John Horvat, instructor
Mr. Horvat, a TFP director, specializes in explaining the
major campaigns of the TFP in defense of Christian civilization,
the art of influencing public opinion, and TFP spirituality
based on True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis de Montfort and
Soul of the Apostolate by Dom Chautard. Mr. Horvat lectures
in the United States and has traveled extensively to address
audiences in France, Poland, Austria, Brazil, and South Africa.
Mr. Byron Whitcraft, instructor
Mr. Whitcraft taught at St. Louis de Montfort Academy for
four years. He currently teaches English and religion. In
addition, Mr. Whitcraft coordinates the TFP's national America
Needs Fatima home-visit program and also travels regularly
for speaking engagements.
Mr. Gregory Escaro, music instructor
Mr. Escaro currently teaches percussion at both St. Louis
de Montfort Academy and Sedes Sapientiae Institute. He excels
in rudimental drumming, Scottish drumming, fife, and keyboard
and is band director of TFP's marching band, Holy Choir of
Angels Corps, which performs at pro-family events and rallies.
