What is Sedes Sapientiae Institute?
Sedes Sapientiae Institute is a college-level
course specialized in the study of an historic perspective
based on the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution by Prof.
Plinio Correa de Oliveira. The American TFP established Sedes
Sapientiae Institute in order to form young TFP members and
those aspiring to join the TFP, as well as other young men
interested in pursuing a conservative Catholic education.
This three-year course encompasses
the fields of history, philosophy, theology, apologetics,
and Catholic social doctrine, offering its students the intellectual,
moral and character formation so seldom available in modern
academia.
The subjects included in the curriculum
of the Sedes Sapientiae Institute
were carefully chosen. They seek to equip young militant Catholic
gentlemen with the means, not only to stand firm against the
winds of our most turbulent times, but to be leaders of opposition
against the profound moral crisis now shaking every aspect
of American life in our neo-pagan
society.
As men are comprised of both body and
soul, in addition to intellectual formation, the Institute
provides its students with a number of extra-curricular activities.
One of those activities, for example, is the opportunity to
join the TFP's marching band, which performs at pro-family
events such as the annual March for Life in Washington, DC.
Other activities include:
Self-defense / martial arts
Music instruction
Field-trips to museums and historical sites
Hiking and canoeing
Concerts and cultural events
