Dear President,
I understand the Catholic university under your administration is listed by www.vday.org as the host of an indecent play called “The V***** Monologues.” (Asterisks added for modesty).
I urge you to take a firm public stand against “The V***** Monologues” being staged within your institution, whether it is under official auspices or not. Moral values are most important, especially in the context of a Catholic college or university. In Ex Corde Ecclesiae, Pope John Paul II said: “A Catholic University, as Catholic, informs and carries out its research, teaching, and all other activities with Catholic ideals, principles and attitudes… Catholic teaching and discipline are to influence all university activities.”
This sinful play tears down social and moral mores. It tramples the Sixth Commandment and degrades women by promoting lesbian behavior.
Freedom of speech has limits. Please do everything in your power as president of a Catholic institution of higher learning to cancel this immoral play, even if it is not formally approved or funded by your administration. I pray you will take serious measures to uphold morality and ensure that this play does not perform on your campus. Please let me know what course of action you will take.
Thank you for your kind and urgent attention to this matter.
Respectfully,
