TFP Student Action receives both positive and negative feedback. Below is a sample of the letters we have received. To share your own thoughts with us, click here.
I enjoyed exploring the site and I applaud the work that TFP is doing, especially if it involves young people. I've said so many times that our country will not turn around until the Boomer Generation is too old to make trouble. Our hope lies in the GenXers and their children. I pray it won't be too late.
My life will never be the same since meeting you gentlemen. The influence of strong truth given by strong men -- without wimpy sentimentalism -- gives students the grace to start or continue to fight for the counterrevolution. I never thought there were people like you in the world, dedicating your lives to travel the country for the Blessed Mother and her message. Your powerful presentation got us to reevaluate our lives. You have really inspired us to start a campus Rosary. Thank you for coming!

I agree that we should defend the Divinity of Jesus but not Mary. She was only His mother and nothing else. She should not be elevated to His level. She is not a god and I think you should stop treating her like one. The Bible does not mention anywhere that we should pray to Mary. She was HUMAN and had no divine qualities at all. Only Jesus can save you and He is the Only One to Whom we pray, not Mary or any other saints. So do not end your message "In Jesus and Mary", Mary is nothing, Jesus is God only!!

… I did want to thank you for your continued efforts to fight the good fight, even in the face of acidic hostility from people who are so grievously misled about the nature of good and evil in this world. It is not easy, especially in a society such as ours where perversity is celebrated as diversity and where moral values are treated like infectious diseases. But keep up the good work and, as Jesus assured us, "Do not be afraid."

Your close-minded, destructive and backwards conservatism offends me.

To whom it may concern: Hello, my name is Christa. I attend College Misericordia. I have a question to pose that I was wondering if someone could answer. When I came back to school from this past weekend, I received the following announcement in my email: [Thursday, October 14th is GAY JEANS DAY!! Please wear blue jeans on Thursday to show your support for your GLBT friends and your opposition to prejudice and discrimination based on sexual orientation. What is Gay Jeans Day? The College Misericordia Ally Group invites everyone in the campus community to wear blue jeans to show support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (GLBT) students, faculty, and staff.] That was the excerpt from the announcement. Obviously I am not a supporter of homosexuals, nor do I support Miseri's ALLY program. My question is, what can I do to combat this, other than praying? Prayer is very important and I will. But I would like to do something more, if I can. I am only one here. Not even my roommates agree with me on this issue, but I am tired of not standing up for what I believe in. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you very much and have a good night. In Jesus and Mary,
C. L.
Groups like you disgust me. Whatever happened to ours being a country based on tolerance?
Hi John, I hadn’t realized that y’all had decided to go ahead with the marriage amendment demonstration with the hurricane. I should have thought to warn you about the opposition you might face, not to discourage your efforts, but just so you might know what to expect. The homosexual community here at LSU is growing increasingly vocal and antagonistic here and often hold demonstrations in the Free Speech area. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the “intolerant of their intolerance” comment, so typical of where our society is at and especially the college campus. They can’t even agree on what tolerance is. Anyway, I too was elated at the landslide passage of Amendment 1, however, the battle is not over yet as the liberal lawyers are already beginning to challenge through the courts. How do you challenge a landslide like that? No doubt some activist judge will find a way. Be blessed.

I just wanted to thank you for being active and encourage you to continue this crusade. I ordered your book, and I debated the issue of homosexual marriage on our school TV station. The knowledge that the book provided proved invaluable! Thank you so much. God bless you.

“Thank you for giving me a copy of Defending a Higher Law. I have just started to read it. I am really amazed at what easy reading it is. It is very hard to put down. Thank you for introducing it to me.” S. E. George Washington University
I have tolerance for any views you wish to have, but not when you try to force them upon others i.e. not allowing a college campus of open-minded individuals to see a play about something you don't believe is right. If you want to hold those views, don't go see the show, but don't hold others back from expressing their opinions and views. I respect you for having your own values, but I don't respect when people like you try to force them upon others. When I received the "Urgent Protest Against 'V-Monologues' Play" e-mail I thought it was a joke. Then I visited your website and I was reminded that there is, in fact, a large swath of land between the coasts that we should have paved over long ago.
It's organizations like yours that make me want to invest in foreign currency. I'm glad, however, that your organization is just a little too far to right to be considered legitimate by anyone who wasn't raised on a farm in Alabama. But, if it was a joke, good one.

I vigorously support your work and I thank you for all that you are doing. I rarely have time even to read the materials on email, but from time to time I do and am grateful for having read them and for your work!
Fr. Paschal C., OSB
Hello Student Action,
So you think your organization does a great amount of good in the world huh? Then why are you so afraid of homosexuals? What have they done to you? You say they "offend God." How do you know? I'm a Catholic yet somehow I don't feel like I'm capable of understanding what does and doesn't offend God.
It astounds me, how a hate organization like yours is so popular… You're out of touch with reality. Get with the times, and please, stop the hate…

Dear TFP Student Action, I am currently attending a Community College and I am taking a required Ethics course. Because it is a secular institution, we are forbidden to use God and religion as a basis of any ethical debates. According to my Prof. we are supposed to reach conclusions to ethical dilemma using our reason only and she states that no religion is completely reasonable. We, as Catholics of course, know that that is false, however, for the purposes of the class I am required to forgo mentioning God. I have already argued many issues such as abortion and euthanasia; however with the last issue we covered I need help- hence this e-mail to you! In class the philosophy of the natural law is referred to as just another theory, lumped in with Kant's, Utilitarianism and so on. According to the text and my Prof. the "theory" is flawed because people have different opinions of what the natural law is, we all hold different views about our nature. Also, they say that just because something is natural it doesn't mean it's good and just. Much obliged, T. S.
I am personally sick of your bigotry and intolerance, which is an anathema to true Christianity. People like you will foster a new McCarthyism we can not afford.

I indeed became interested in your organization after seeing you campaign for the Louisiana amendment at LSU. While I am sure you came across a number of mindless gay lovers in Free Speech Alley, you'd be delighted to know that the LSU student body is predominantly conservative, with "W" stickers everywhere. Unfortunately we also tend to be too concerned with football, beer, and classes to worry too much about political issues or our faith. I think it would be great if you could get some students here involved in your crusade against modernity. You could try sending representatives to speak at the Christ the King Catholic Church on campus to recruit potential activists. I surely would like to participate if TFP does this.

Take me off of your distribution list, jerk. Haters like you make me sick. Maybe you should re-read your Bible (and pay attention this time).
A.B.
Keep it up. You're doing marvelous evangelization for the Lord! May He bless you and all those students who pray and protest.
Sister J. de C. (I pray for you all)
God Bless You -- Keep up the good work. The reason for you receiving such terrible receptions on the campuses you visit is that the professors are teaching the students the exact opposite of what you stand for. The statistics regarding the number of liberal teachers who teach at all grade levels is astounding. I pray that you will not become discouraged -- I think there are lots of students who feel the same as you, but are afraid to come forward. Ann L.
The members of the TFP are carrying out a noble task in their everyday struggle against the forces of hell, who disseminate pernicious doctrine to the detriment of society. And this they do in the name of tolerance. Thank you for your work and may Our Lady always guide you. I'm especially grateful for the story of the great King and crusader Saint Ferdinand the third of Castile and Leon. Natasha Q.
Keep up the good work and may the Almighty and our Blessed Virgin Mary watch constantly over you at all times. Juan N. S.
I am a student at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Today, November 15, a demonstration of the TFP was held in our quad… How can you say that a woman who is raped should bring that child into the world? Or a child being born into poverty? I try to understand your point of view but I find it impossible. Things are not as black and white as you preach and it disgusts me as a Christian that you spout this type of hate for others.
Sarah D.
Dear John, Please keep up the good work for our Lord and the Mother of God and for our sake. We Catholics and Christians need to be well informed more than ever. I do not have difference of opinion in any of your subjects. It's plain common sense and obedience and love for our Creator. God bless you!

Hi John, I have experienced similar treatment in the workplace. I used to work for x. (shoe mfg & marketer). All employees were required to attend a "diversity seminar" in which a lesbian speaker was to giver a talk. I did not want to attend and wasn't going to and thought I will register a complaint with HR that such immorality does not fit with my beliefs. In order to have information about exactly what occurs at such seminars I thought it best for me to attend to gather facts. I attended and listened to her poor jokes about shoes growing up....but she soon turned her talk to the homosexual agenda. At that point I listened a little and decided I had heard even of the propaganda and got up to leave. I was the only one to walk out. When I got back to my desk I replied to the email that informed be about the "seminar," that I did not want to receive any more emails requiring me to attend a seminar that offends me and my faith and wanted my name removed from the distribution list. The reply I received stated "We can't remove your name, when you see the subject line of the email delete it." Two months later I was laid off from the job (happily!!!). I was then hired by an investment bank in Boston and was surrounded by homosexuals on 3 sides: 10 feet easterly, 10 feet northerly, 10 feet westerly. On the south side was the glass wall 18 floors above the street below. They were free to speak about their weekend activities, but I was ridiculed for any signs of my faith. I was ridiculed, but when I asked business related questions I was ignored. After suffering there for 13 months I prayed to be shown a new direction. I was laid off 4 days after experience God's glorious love in telling me to pursue teaching. That is what I am doing and will do his will from now on.
PS. After being laid off I sent the person who hired and laid me off an email stating "I am happy to no longer be working at x. I am on to bigger and better things." She considered this harassment and a few days later 2 lawyers knocked on my door threatening me with a lawsuit if I ever called or emailed anyone at the company.
Peter.
You narrow minded bigots out to stay out of political discussions. Your opinions and interference in the political process disgust me and many other Christians… Your time would be much better spent helping people rather than spreading your hateful opinions.
Bob N.
When I opened google and typed TFP, you can't imagine what I felt. It was like new air coming into my lungs. I almost cried. It was really, really something that I was waiting for a long time. I never forget Prof. Plinio Correa de Oliveira. I love this Catholic man. He is the man. When something in the world happens I always think about him because he is the only one who understood what was going on in this corrupt world. Que la Virgen Maria los proteja.
Wilson M.
Take your dark ages, hypocritical religion and start your own fundamentalist country... like the Taliban. You are no better. Evil, bigoted, child molester protectors. Shame on you. You think Jesus is on your side. What a joke! You turn people against religion.
Marilyn C.
I read your article about coming to the Univeristy of Delaware… The gay-rights activists had every right and were just as peaceful as you, if not more, because unlike you they didn't slither like an evil snake into a campus that for the most part is pretty accepting of their peers… It's not your place to pass judgement…In a world so torn with hate and destruction, you feed into that hate when you really should be protesting against it. The next time you decide to "visit" us here at Delaware, the counter-protest will be even stronger because we are ready for you.
Marie L.
Do you get around the country with your presence and efforts, or spend your time in the general location where you reside? My alma mater Notre Dame badly needs a visit such as yours, bag pipes and all. It would be great on a Fall Saturday football weekend. I would be the first to join with you. Keep up your work. The rewards are monumental, and of course eternal. Jim F.
I'd just like to thank you and TFP for all the hard work you have done and for being an active pillar of orthodox zeal for our Holy Mother Church. You are in my prayers, and I continue to look to TFP as a voice of vigilance, encouragement, and hope in a time and culture of clouded truth, misplaced faith, and faded tradition.
Yours in Christ Jesus,

…The people of TFP, from PA, came onto our campus to spread hatred and bigotry. Plain and simple. Now, I know that this is America, and everyone, even the KKK and Neo Nazis, is allowed to demonstrate peacefully to voice their views on public grounds. But to say that the student counter demonstration was done “without an ounce of tolerance” is the pot calling the kettle black. The TFP protest was the epitome of intolerance. To the members of TFP – who have been copied on this email – I am here to tell you that I do NOT support your myopic, hate-rooted presence on MY campus. …I am taking a stand to defend my campus, my gay, lesbian and bisexual friends, whom I love dearly, and the Constitutional right granted to every American that proclaims “All (wo)men are created EQUAL.” The Bible shows that Jesus loved everyone from every walk of life – you should try, too. TFP, you are hurting my campus and the rest of the country. Stop it!
Melissa C. – University of Delaware
Dear TFP, I would just like to thank you so much for all the work you are doing. I admire your courage and dedication. I know I could not withstand anything close to what has happened at U of D. I hope, no, I am SURE God has set an army of Angels to guard you because you are engaging in a direct war against Satan. People like TFP members are the modern-day Martyrs. Once again, thank you so much for all your work, it really puts a much needed hope in those of us who have no courage to stand up against this wave of demonic activity that has been sweeping throughout our country. My family and I keep you in our prayers. Thank you, and God Bless!!! Voytek T.
Dear John, Is there a way I can get you all to come and visit my college in Indianapolis, Indiana? Its name is Marian College (It is a Catholic college but we are in the process of cleaning up some liberalism). I have started Rosary Walks around campus to consecrate it to our Blessed Mother. I would have to talk to our Campus Minister but let me know if it's a possibility for you to come, etc. any other prerequisites or requirements. Thanks and God bless you and your work!
A. J. T. Marian College
You got it, John. You're doing a great work for God and country. You good folks dress up like statesmen on the college campuses, way to go. N. K.
You have no idea how glad I am to hear from you! Until I picked up a TFP Traditional Marriage Crusade pamphlet at Latin Mass, and met 2 students and a professor at St. Norbert, I honestly thought I was alone. A.W.
Dear John, I am not a student. I graduated from college in 1983. I enjoy reading about your ministry and I have been sending e-mail protests in support of TFP action alerts. I would like to continue helping student action although I am not a student. God bless you for all the good work you do.
J.G.
