The Sedes Sapientiae Institute and the TFP-staffed St. Louis de Montfort Academy just finished classes for the year, but a group of seven students will not spend their summers lounging on the couch. Led by TFP member Matthew Shibler, they are traveling across the nation as part of the Rejecting The Da Vinci Code campaign.

Dispelling The Da Vinci Code Confusion at George Washington University

Standing by the Cross in Nebraska
December 7, 2005
On December 1, 2 and 3, faithful Catholics gathered in Lincoln, Nebraska., to make a public act of reparation for this offense against God. Coming from as far as Kansas and Pennsylvania, they were determined to follow the example of Our Lady at the foot of the Cross.

Students defend Our Lord's honor at Ohio State University, irritate liberals
December 1, 2005
Year after year, our secular culture seeks to eradicate every public display of devotion to the Christ Child during the Christmas season. In stark contrast to this secular spirit, TFP Student Action has been campaigning to defend the honor due to Our Lord Jesus Christ, attacked in Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code.

Challenging abortion at the University of Pittsburgh
November 11, 2005
To call abortion what it is - a grave sin - on any college campus is like exposing a raw nerve or scrubbing an infected wound. At least that is the experience of members of TFP Student Action in the past, and it was no different this time at the University of Pittsburgh on Veteran's Day, November 11.

Rejecting a Blasphemous Novel
October 17, 2005
TFP Student Action visited Gettysburg College, October 17. What was the issue of the day? A campaign against Dan Brown’s blasphemous book, The Da Vinci Code, and Columbia Pictures’ plan to turn it into a movie.

Because Our Lord Deserves It
September 19, 2005
Just after members of TFP Student Action set up their banners, said a prayer and started passing out literature at Millersville University, a visibly angry student with twitching face muscles began: “Why should you care? I love The Da Vinci Code. It doesn’t bother me. I have no religion. You should do something else like feed the poor. Go feed the poor.”

On the Road with TFP Student Action
April 5, 2005
While I have often read about TFP Student Action’s campaigns, I never had an opportunity to actually go with them. I thought how exciting it would be to engage in hot debates on campus and live a bit of their adventurous life on the road. When their campaign in Rochester N. Y. coincided with a speaking engagement, I jumped at the chance to join with the students and confront liberal academia.

No Middle Ground at College Park

On Monday, April 22, nine members of TFP Student Action traveled to the College Park campus of the University of Maryland to collect surveys and pass out flyers in defense of traditional marriage. Perhaps the most striking and pervasive aspect of those on campus in favor of same-sex “marriage” was the absolute moral relativism, itself a contradiction in terms.

Twitching with rage and disbelief, a pro-homosexual student approached one TFP Student Action member and said, “Why are you here? On campus, if you dare oppose immoral “lifestyles,” you are quickly and violently condemned as “intolerant,” a term effectively employed to discourage any reaction, especially from conservative university students.
