How the Gold Dome TarnishedEveryone who is familiar with Notre Dame instantly recognizes the golden dome. It scintillates in the sunlight and serves as a pedestal for a large statue of Our Lady, fittingly portrayed crushing the head of the serpent, calling to mind the passage from Genesis 3:15: “I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.”

Catholics Oppose Blasphemous “Jerry Springer: the Opera in Concert"

Someone walking down Tremont Street in Boston on Friday evening would have seen an unusual sight: 125 Catholics gathered around a large statue of Our Lady of Fatima, devoutly kneeling, holding candles and praying the Consecration to Jesus, through Mary, written by Saint Louis de Montfort.

Imagining No Atheists in Topeka

The day of the April monthly Public Square Rosary was dark and threatening. That did not stop 25 devotees of Our Lady to show up to offer a public rosary in reparation for a sign that has been placed on a public billboard in Topeka, Kansas.

April 15 - Traditional Marriage Rally and Bible Desecration Incident

The alarm clock went off at 5:30 AM early on Wednesday morning for the members of the St. Joseph Caravan. At 7:30 we reached Concord for a rally against same-sex “marriage” in front of the New Hampshire state capitol building. As we pulled the poles and banners from the back of the van, supporters of traditional marriage shouted their approval and waved their signs.

April 14, 2009 - Protecting Traditional Marriage in Nashua

Early today, as we stepped into Norton’s Café for breakfast, the locals sipping their morning coffee looked curious to know what nine young men were doing in town so early, dressed in suit and tie. After we proudly said grace – something you hardly see anymore – their curiosity only increased. “Who are you?” asked one of the older men. His question gave TFP volunteers a chance to put in a good word for traditional moral values even before the campaign had started in downtown Nashua.

April 13 - Defending God's Marriage in the Granite State

Under the patronage of Saint Joseph to whom this caravan is dedicated, a team of nine TFP Student Action volunteers left Pennsylvania early this Monday morning for New Hampshire and Maine, where true marriage in under assault by the homosexual movement seeking to legalize same-sex "marriage."

On March 21-22, Tradition, Family Property-Louisiana and America Needs Fatima held two regional one-day conferences in Louisiana centered on the theme of the need for Catholic action. The setting for the first conference was Grand Coteau, one of the Louisiana’s charming historic towns.

Protecting the Family on Saint Joseph’s Day

The feast day of Saint Joseph was a perfect day to rally in defense of the innocence of children at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library in Topeka, Kansas. One of the titles of Saint Joseph is “Protector of the Holy Family.”

Father Jenkins, Urgently Reconsider!

In a March 25 letter to the President of Notre Dame University in South Bend, Ind., the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) has registered its vehement opposition at his decision to have our nation’s president speak at the commencement and receive a Doctor of Laws degree from the institution.

If the goal of the meetings at the crowded event was to expand horizons with new insight and ideas, the place could not have been better. From the meeting room on the mountain top restaurant, there was a spectacular view of the Conyngham Valley near Hazleton, Penn.

From January 22 — 24 TFP Student Action held its annual March for Life Student Conference. Young men from as far as California and Louisiana came together to march in defense of the unborn children slaughtered by abortion and to prepare themselves for the intellectual and spiritual challenges of 2009.
