Helping Students Find a Moral Compass

Eight members of TFP Student Action campaigned against same-sex “marriage” at Penn State University on March 1. There was no mistaking the TFP’s position. In large bold black letters, the title of their flyer read “Stop Same-Sex ‘Marriage,’” and proved to be a tolerance test for students in favor of the homosexual movement.

When graphic designer Scott Ritcher was recently asked why he had made a blasphemous representation of the Sacred Heart with the face of former President Bill Clinton, he responded: “It was just one of those creative moments where you’re just like ‘Oh wouldn’t this be funny?’”

Presenting Petitions to the Mother of God

On March 20, two members of the American TFP, went on pilgrimage to the site of the 1917 apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima, Portugal, to deliver over 40,000 petition cards collected through the TFP’s America Needs Fatima Home Visitation Program.

A group of boys received a special Christmas present from their parents last year:participation in a Winter Youth Program, sponsored by the American TFP and St. Louis de Montfort Academy. Boys came from as far as California to attend the five-day program at the Academy’s rural campus in Herndon, Pa.

Feminists on 34 American Catholic Universities are planning a new Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre, aimed at the Church’s traditional moral teaching, by organizing showings of the infamous lewd play, The V***** Monologues in the weeks surrounding Saint Valentine’s Day.

For a TFP international summer conference discussing Christian civilization, Austria seemed an excellent site. Even better was the restored fourteenth-century Carthusian Charterhouse where the over 110 participants gathered. At the six-day event held on August 2-7, there was no lack of Christian civilization; it was a veritable immersion.

The entry of Poland into the European Union was supposed to have ushered in a new era of democracy, tolerance and freedom to the former Soviet Bloc nation. Gone forever was the totalitarian past of Communist regimes. Such hopes are now apparently premature.

When the Supreme Court extended an injunction against the enforcement of the Child Online Protection Act (COPA), it also guaranteed the access by innocent children to on-line porn. Internet pornographers were handed a victory and the opportunity to corrupt American youth with no fines or consequences.

Scuttle Specter’s Chairmanship Hopes

The debate over the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee still rages. In one development, Planned Parenthood is asking its activists to thank Senator Arlen Specter (R. Penn.) for his “moderate” stance on abortion. In light of this continuing debate, The American TFP opposes his nomination.

Catholics Unite to Face a Polarized America

For a seminar focusing on the divisions inside the nation, the 2004 TFP National Conference was a scene of amazing unity. The Columbus weekend event brought together Catholics of like mind from across the nation for an intense and varied program. By the end of the conference, all seemed to be immersed in an unforgettable atmosphere of grace and counter-revolutionary camaraderie.

Letter to the President

On November 5, 2004 the American TFP sent a letter to President Bush, congratulating him on his election victory. In this election, America's moral and cultural configuration was at stake and both sides in the Cultural War mobilized accordingly.

The TFP had gone to George Washington University in Washington, D.C. to defend traditional marriage as part of a continuing effort on college campuses. Within minutes of their arrival, homosexual activists started gathering to antagonize TFP volunteers and make vain attempts to justify the unjustifiable: homosexual vice.
