With the election of Luis Inacio Lula de Silva (Lula) in Brazil, our southern neighbor took a sharp turn to the left. "Lula" together with leftist leaders in Ecuador, Venezuela and Cuba threatens to form an "axis of evil" south of the border. To make Americans aware of this danger, the TFP Washington Bureau launched an e-newsletter called LulaWatch.

LulaWatch will be a monthly publication showing the dangers and potential crisis that may result from this "axis of evil." TFP analysts will keep an eye out for important news items and events pointing to this danger.
