With the election of Luis Inacio Lula de Silva (Lula) in Brazil, our southern neighbor took a sharp turn to the left. To make Americans aware of this danger, the TFP Washington Bureau launched an e-newsletter called LulaWatch.

TFP Urges Government to Cut Funding to UNFPA

On January 16, 2003 the American TFP sent a letter to Secretary of State Colin Powell, urging the U.S. government to cease all future funding and involvement with U.N. Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA).
