In a December 18 letter, the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) showed its appreciation to President George W. Bush for following through with his promise to withdraw from the Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty.

On December 7-16, Prince Bertrand of Orleans-Braganza went on a TFP-sponsored speaking tour of American cities which included St. Louis, Missouri; New Orleans and Alexandria, Louisiana. He spoke on the importance of Catholic leadership in society and visited with Catholic and civic leaders.

On November 9, over one hundred TFP members, friends and supporters gathered together at the TFP's Washington Bureau in McLean, Va., to discuss Islam in the post-September 11th world.

We are faced with the nation's first post-modern war. But what kind of war is this? Who is the enemy and why does he hate us? Until we understand clearly what drives our assailants, and until we learn how to counter their psywar tactics, we are vulnerable.

On October 6 - 7, Monsignor Michael R. Schmitz, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Bertrand of Orleans-Braganza and 150 American TFP supporters and friends met at a TFP Conference at its headquarters in Spring Grove, Penn., to analyze current events from the Fatima perspective and spread a much needed hope for life in the post-September 11 world.

The American TFP decries the coordinated terrorist attacks on American soil. These cowardly attacks provide an occasion of reflection. Today, America is a target of hatred. We are not hated for our many defects but our qualities.

Every year, when the weather heats up and the days lengthen, boys from across the country eagerly prepare for the TFP Summer Program.

Effective missile defense must be a top priority, according to an American TFP statement just released at a July 31 press conference held by the Americans for Missile Defense in Washington. Nearly one hundred people attended the conference highlighting the importance of defending America from a nuclear threat.
